Mr Dan-Viggo Bergtun, President of the World Veterans Federation, attended the 27th Session of the General Assembly of the Arab Veterans Union, which was held in Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) on 11–15 November 2018.
The Session was attended by many delegates and Member Associations from the WVF. Representatives from Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania and Yemen all attended the event.The delegates also had the opportunity and privilege to meet with His Highness Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
The Federation is humbled and thankful for the invitation and the support from the Arab veterans and considers it the first step to include in a more effective way Arab veterans in the world veterans’ society to exchange expertise and experience in health and welfare and peace and security on a worldwide scale.
